2018 Mappinga Shiraz

This extraordinary cool climate Shiraz was derived from individually selected vines. Fruit was then carefully picked and sorted. Partial whole bunch fermentation added complexity prior to eighteen months of maturation in 35% new and older French Oak barrels. Complex, rich aromas of dark chocolate, plum and spice compliment the dense palate of fresh blackberry, star anise and white pepper flavours. A powerful but seamlessly balanced cool climate Shiraz with lingering, leathery tannins. A benchmark of Adelaide Hills Shiraz with the ability to cellar for over 15 years.
