The whole experience was fantastic and seriously, was faultless. Sophie was amazing to deal with in planning; great communication, quick to respond and flexible when changes had to be made. I also really appreciated Sophie coming to say hi at the beginning of the day, was lovely to meet. Thank you! The actual day too was perfect, seriously I couldn’t fault anything! I also really wanted to recognise Nick for his service to our table during the day, what an asset he is to your winery; great natural balance of friendliness, professionalism and initiative! This was mentioned by many of the guests. A big thanks too to Wayne, his service too was amazing! All of my guests (and myself), agreed the food was beautiful, the venue relaxing and fun, a great day had by all! After visiting the restaurant for a meal one night my now husband and I knew that Sidewood would be perfect for our wedding day. The food, wine and service is always amazing, a wedding didn't change that. Nothing was too hard for the team leading up to the day, everything went seamlessly. We certainly noticed the attention to detail and service was impeccable on the night. Our guests are still raving about the food. I hope the photographer has managed to share some photos with you. The resturant was beautiful as it always is. I do hope we all behaved ourselves. We do wish to come back many more times.

I found the wine tasting highly educational as someone who is fairly new to the wine world. I appreciated the aesthetics of the tasting Mat. I also liked the use of wines which were similar but not the same to compare the differing characteristics of the two.

The Introduction to Wine Tasting Course, with Serena was a lovely and relaxing entry into the world of wine tasting. Serena’s encouraging and supportive nature, along with creative tasting maps made for a fabulous experience. With Serena’s encouragement and teachings, I now feel much more confident with the idea of undertaking a wine tasting at one of our incredible Adelaide Hills Wine venues.

The food was fantastic and we were amazed that for the amount of food we ordered that it all came out together (within 10 - 15 minutes but that worked perfectly for us). The bar staff were fabulous and the security man was really respectful (we had several young people with us). The venue is amazing and the water mists were a treat. We will definitely be back again in the future. Thank you for having us.

I would just like to thank the staff on the floor especially Izzy who served our table and did a wonderful job keeping everyone fed and watered. The wines were lovely and a few members of the family bought some from the cellar door. Thank you to the chef and kitchen staff, the food was outstanding and absolutely delicious. The tomato dish was superb I could eat that every day. Everything that came out was very well presented and tasted incredible together. The pizza's would have to be some of the best we have had (and we have a lot of pizza) I can't decide between the mushroom or the cauliflower pizza as my favourite. The simple salad that was served was perfectly dressed and a wonderful complement. We had more than enough to satisfy our hungry family. We all had a wonderful time and will most definitely be back again. Many Thanks

Well, I think it goes without saying that the Sidewood Restaurant is top-notch. The dishes we had, as a group of four, were just brilliant. Being a bit of a foodie, I was so impressed and absolutely enjoyed the thinking of the chef and his mates in the kitchen on their dishes. We did not have dessert, but the cheese platter was also very well presented and timed to give the cheese maximum flavour. Even the Chai Latte I had was very good, certainly compared to a range of other chai's I have had at other venues. Is this too much? Well, all I can say is that your staff in the kitchen deserve the accolades. The waiting staff also were very attentive and were very accommodating to our thoughts on what to have and when. A very good experience, and we will be back!

We wanted to reach out and say from the bottom of our hearts, thank you so so so much for our dinner on Saturday night. We can’t fault anything! The staff were amazing, we had the most incredible servers who were beyond helpful and didn’t complain even when our guests kept ordering espresso martini’s - trust me, I know how annoying this is haha. Every single person raved to us about the food and said just how amazing every single course was. It just kept getting better and better as the night went on! Thank you so much for fitting us in at the last minute and then putting up with me wanting to change the room, the menu and all of the dietaries within a week! We honestly had the most perfect end to our day with that dinner and the function room was so perfect for us and our guests. We will definitely be back to Sidewood for more delicious food and wine!

We were on a road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide, staying the night in Hahndorf. We had visited Dan Murphy's in Frankston to stock up for our trip and on their recommendation had been enjoying some wines from Sidewood. So the Sidewood Estate Cellar Door was the obvious choice for our afternoon wine tasting. It turned out to be a great choice and the lovely Serena took us through the wine list at a leisurely pace. Sidewood may be relatively young in wine terms, but they are doing great things. Not only are the wines outstanding, they also represent great value. We really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

We visited Sidewood on a weekday and would recommend this as a way to receive the attention that's needed for making sensible beverage choices. The staff member was attentive and knowledgeable and we were able to use our Entertainment Book voucher for a 25% discount on wines. Our friends were very pleased to buy pear cider with the lowest sugar content available among ciders and the staff member showed us the comparison research. Well done Sidewood! We'll be visiting again soon. We appreciated the fire burning on a cool morning!
