Vinification
SINGLE VINEYARD
Since 2014, the 2022 is now only the fifth vintage of this 100% Mendoza clone Chardonnay, grown meticulously at our Mappinga Rd vineyard, yielding at 6 t/ha. Characteristically demonstrating hen and chicken in bunches, this fruit is handpicked and individually sorted in the vineyard. Whole bunches are then gently pressed to 50% extraction and wild fermented in large format French Oak barrels. After 10 months in approx. 35% new oak and after partial malolactic fermentation, the best barrels are then selected and blended to a limited 300 dozen.

Tasting Notes
Aromas of Yuzu zest and wet limestone are supported by fresh notes of citrus blossom and kaffir lime leaf. A taut and refined line of acidity drives across the palate, carrying notes of green apple skin, unripened peach and a slate finish. A sophisticated and balanced wine, with fine texture and understated finesse.
