Pale tawny brown with golden caramel hues. Lifted aromas of spice, golden syrup, fig, coffee and honeyed fruit. The palate is dense and layered, with rich viscosity carrying flavours of Christmas pudding, honeycomb, toffee, caramel, sultana and fig. Sweet spice from oak and warming alcohol are balanced by acidity, finishing long with fig, prune and burnt honeycomb.

A blend averaging 22 years of age, including a component from a 1976 fortified Palomino. Matured in barrel for up to 50 years, allowing slow oxidation and concentration of flavour, delivering exceptional complexity, integration and finesse.

Extended barrel ageing under oxidative conditions has shaped the wine’s depth, concentration and balance, creating a refined fortified expression of remarkable age and character.

Best served slightly cool. Ideal on its own or paired with cheese, desserts or affogato. A contemplative, after-dinner style offering richness, warmth and elegance.
