Held across two relaxed daytime sessions, Fire & Wine brings together openfires, woodfire cooking, Sidewood wines and live DJs in the heart of the Hills. With plenty of shelter, glowing fires, gas heaters and cosy blankets throughout the estate, it’s the perfect setting to sip, savour and celebrate winter with friends and family.
Indulge in comforting dishes including classic Charcoal roasted porchetta, Pinot-braised lamb cobb loaves, wood fired pizzas and seasonal vegan options like roasted pumpkin casserole. Our cellar door will be open as usual for tastings and Sidewood wines, a selection of local gin and craft beer will be available over the bar.

What to Expect
Guests can settle into Sidewood’s garden surrounds and enjoy a welcoming winter atmosphere complete with openfires, comforting food and a vibrant soundtrack that evolves with the afternoon. A complimentary glass of Sidewood Estatewineis included on arrival for adults, setting the tone for an easy, indulgent day out.

We will have plenty of seating options available in our garden space, subject to weather conditions.
Options will be available on a first come, best dressed basis.
Our Restaurant & Cellar Door will be operating as usual all weekend. We recommend making a booking in order to guarantee a spot.
Covered & weather ready spaces
To keep the event comfortable in all conditions, a stretch tent will be installed over the main event area, providing extensive shelter from sun or rain.
🌧 In Case of Rain
If weather turns wet, we’ll also deploy an oversupply of pop‑up marquees throughout the venue. These will cover entry points, pathways, outdoor seating zones, and any weather‑sensitive activations to ensure guests stay dry and the event runs smoothly.

All structures are professionally secured, and our team will continuously
monitor conditions to ensure the safety and comfort of attendees.
🚗 Parking
On‑site parking is available with extended spaces for our guests. We recommend arriving early.
Street parking is available nearby—please check signage.
🚕 Ride Share & Taxis
There will be plenty of space for pick up and drop off for transport. We encourage ride share to reduce congestion.

The nearest train/bus/tram stop is directly outside our venue at Stop 51 (Mount Barker Rd), servicing the T843 bus service, which runs on weekends.

Eftpos payments will be available in the event space with cash options available inside our main restaurant.
