Owen’s Chardonnay Named Among Halliday’s Top 100 Wines for 2026

We’re proud to share that our 2024 Vigneron’s Release ‘Owen’s’ Chardonnay has been named among the Halliday Wine Companion Top 100 Wines for 2026, earning an impressive 97-point score.

This latest recognition caps off an exceptional year for the wine, following a Platinum Medal at the 2026 Decanter World Wine Awards and the Trophy for Best South Australian Chardonnay at the International Wine Challenge. Building on the success of previous vintages, which each received 97-point ratings from Halliday, Owen’s Chardonnay continues to cement its reputation as one of the Adelaide Hills' benchmark Chardonnays.

Named in honour of Sidewood Estate owner and vigneron Owen Inglis, Owen’s Chardonnay reflects our commitment to meticulous viticulture and thoughtful winemaking. Sourced exclusively from Mendoza Clone Chardonnay grown at our Mappinga Road Vineyard in Oakbank (Adelaide Hills), only the finest barrels are selected for release, and only in exceptional vintages.

The 2024 vintage marks the sixth release of Owen’s Chardonnay, making this Top 100 recognition particularly rewarding for our vineyard and winery teams, whose dedication and attention to detail are behind every bottle.
