2011 Sidewood Estate Museum Release Chardonnay

Individually selected parcels were picked from Sidewood’s Mappinga Road, Oakbank vineyard. Gently pressed, the free-run juice was then barrel fermented using wild yeast in 100% French oak. The wine was left to mature for ten months before rigorous barrel selection. The wine has then spent ten long years in bottle before being labelled. The wine is a testament to the quality and ageing potential of ultra-cool climate Chardonnay from the Adelaide Hills. The wine has tantalising aromas of orange blossom and grilled nuts. The palate showcases round, mouth-watering flavours of apricot, white peach and honeysuckle, finishing with generous length and richness, reticent of its lengthy time in our cellars before release. Serve slightly chilled or at room temperature. 1,000 bottles only
